Fender wanted to create a new beginner hub for their site, so I worked with an agency in L.A. to create a welcoming space that helped rookies explore basic guitar concepts, find the right guitar (or bass or amp) for them, explore the legacy, and promote the Fender Play learner’s app. I was chosen not just because of my experience or the quality of my work, but because I myself am an intermediate player. Fender wanted someone who wasn’t a maestro for authenticity. That’s good…I guess?
